Talia Peckel

Talia Peckel, BFA, is a visual artist who was born in Canada and raised in Colombia. She studied Drawing and Painting at OCAD University in Toronto, and now lives on beautiful Salt Spring Island, continually engaging with the visual arts in the community through mural work, the arts council, and community projects in schools and public spaces. 
Her artwork explores themes of the feminine psyche and body (based on real and imagined women) for their qualities of strength, inner beauty and vulnerability to be highlighted. 
This series is in honour of inspiring women in her life. The bright and colourful portraits have a dreamy quality, meant to evoke the inner world expressed through each human face.
